Is This My Wedding Dress?

Image
Does Taobao know something that I don't? Is this a hint? What's with all these dresses I would totally consider getting married in??? Pretty Galaxy - Antique Dress  Price: 489 RMB Sooo pretty! I love this photo too. If I was photographed like this someone would have to Photoshop me a jawline haha! It looks so soft and feminine! Great layers, great textures! I like that it's a soft peachy colour, it makes me think of the blush pink wedding dress trend. Also a fantastic price but the I'm a little unsure about the length. Is it that funny midi length? Hmm, either I need some big heels or an underskirt or maybe it will lift a fair bit with enough poof? 7/10 would get married in! *** This Time - Flower Goddess Price: 598 RMB Ooo! This is pretty! Not for my wedding but great sleeves Model-chan! Look at how beautiful these details are?! I Love the different textures and colours. It adds a lot of interest to the dress. Ok s...

ZJ Story 2020 Preview Tea Party

Image
I first became aware of this preview tea party when the super gorgeous YamiHoshi posted snippets on their Instagram story and then I saw more photos from Chinese Lolita Updates  which excited me so I wanted to share my pick of pics (you can see them all if you follow the link to Chinese Lolita Updates' post) and my thoughts on them and hopefully you'll enjoy them! Ooo! This is SO aesthetically pleasing! Well! That's the first peeks of the venue and styling of the tea party. There's not an excess of pictures that I've come across but these are more than enough to sell it to me. Just that first picture and I am there! I know as a community a lot of us wish to go to the big brand tea parties (remember that crazy fancy one for AP in Shanghai?) but some Chinese brands are really pulling out the stops and I would 10/10 go to this!   So let's see the goods!!!  Please click the pictures to enlarge for the finer details! Ooo! Yes! YES! This is so ...

It's Time to OT-Tea Party!

Is an OT-Tea Part really OTT if you don’t go all out? I decided that I would wear my Hanfu OP from Myths of Our Own again because I didn’t want a dress I loved so much to be a one wear wonder and I think that’s what I want my final form to be - Hanfu lolita. SO! Let’s take a moment to talk about this dress that I love so much! With its heavier weight and classic Hanfu detailing and fox embroidery, this dress spoke to me on SO many levels and I was at the height of my 10 Miles of Peach Blossom obsession so I HAD to have it. I have no idea what the official name of this dress is but I’m going to have a stab at ‘Nine Tailed Fox Embroidery OP ‘– that’s what I’d call it! When I wore it at Myths, I literally threw on as it came along with the overskirt. This time I wanted to find a different way to style this dress. Admittedly, this is a struggle and it’s probably why I don’t own many OPs! In an ideal world, I would have liked to have made a floor length Hanfu overdress w...

Bubble, Bubble, Toil & Trouble!

Yeah… I know I’m late but being spooky isn’t just for Halloween and neither is Halloween Afternoon Tea! Or least it shouldn’t be because the afternoon tea I want to talk about here is WAY too good to only make an appearance once a year! Mama Doreen's Emporium I was sad when I missed out on this last year so as soon as I found out that there would be a repeat of Mama Doreen’s Halloween Afternoon Tea I knew I HAD to book myself in for it! After rounding up a couple of friends who also wanted to eat this masterpiece, I booked us in for Saturday 2nd November! As soon as I knew I was booking this, I knew it was an opportunity to wear my new dress – St Vitus by Haenuli! I attempted my best gothic look with what I had in my wardrobe and while I think it leans closer to classic, I was comfy and happy and really liked what I did with my face! (Makeup isn’t my forte so I’m really happy with this look! Eyes and lips courtesy of Miniso's Pink Panther collection!) ...
