Bubble, Bubble, Toil & Trouble!

Yeah… I know I’m late but being spooky isn’t just for Halloween and neither is Halloween Afternoon Tea! Or least it shouldn’t be because the afternoon tea I want to talk about here is WAY too good to only make an appearance once a year! Mama Doreen's Emporium I was sad when I missed out on this last year so as soon as I found out that there would be a repeat of Mama Doreen’s Halloween Afternoon Tea I knew I HAD to book myself in for it! After rounding up a couple of friends who also wanted to eat this masterpiece, I booked us in for Saturday 2nd November! Let's see what I got! Initial thoughts: the box is V cute and seems a good size! Initial thoughts upon opening: there are no snacks? Okay, so there are 8 things...

Want to know what else I love apart from lolita? Food. Especially cute or gimmicky food! While I was in Hong Kong in late March I picked up some Sakura Pocky from Japanese supermarket YATA and somehow, I have only JUST got round to eating it. I was 10/10 into sakura things in Hong Kong (I forked out 28HKD which is about £2.50 on a piece of artisan sakura mochi - oops) but if I said I wasn't totally won over by the packaging, I would be lying. It could have been ANY flavour and I'd have probably bought it for the packaging and for 'science' - obviously.  Needless to say I was very pleased that even the internal packaging was mega pretty!
