Last Week's Taobao Delights - A Summary

Hello, hello and welcome back to a much delayed Taobao recap! I've been away on holiday and things have been a bit of in the air with me attempting to adult so today I'm bring you'all a summary of dresses since 3.0! Fortunately I have found that not much actually happened in Taobao-land during my absence so I've only a small round up!

Initial reaction - Oh hello love! Your cleavage is impressive! Is cleavage allowed in lolita now?

This is pretty! So, so pretty! I love the sax and white combo and all the lace and bead details are just so lovely! Love, love, love!
 Do I need it? No. Am I going to archive this in a wedding dresses folder? Absolutely!

Also, I adore this photo of Model-chan! The setting, feel and composition - I'm feeling it and excuse me but the skirt is HUGE!!!

Initial reaction - PONG! SHEUNG! SIK WOO!

In two cuts and three colourways (both featuring a hood with cat ears lol), Mah Jong Cat is a thing and in all seriousness, I need to know WHY! Who came up with this concept? And how? So this is MY theory...
[Designer stumbles in after winning big in a Mah Jong game at 3am]
 Designer: You want something different? Let's make a Mah Jong dress!
Studio: Mah Jong isn't very lolita...
Designer: But a Mah Jong print would be different! I really want to make a Mah Jong dress :<
Studio: ...alright, alright. But you need to make it lolita!
Designer: You got it!
[Throws in cats, cherries AND plaid inserts]
Studio: Oh! Well ok! 

I can't decide if I'm laughing with it or at it.

Cheese Cocoa - Vampire Cat


Initial reaction: Time to spoop!

It's a little derpy but in a cute way which is perfect for spooping! Both colourways are great, I love this! I'm on a lolita shopping ban until the new year unless I *NEED* it but I would definitely wear this in a heartbeat!

Shanghai Disneyland - Duffy & his Friends 


Initial reaction - DUFFY!!!

Not for me personally but this is mega cute in a very Disney way. Well done Shanghai Disney! 
This holds a special place in my heart because I actually KNOW who Duffy is now thanks to Teddy Bear Meet!

Remote Twinning - The haberdashery is open!

Welcome to another edition of remote twinning where Christina and myself twin in a dress featuring dresses that we have talking about for years! This dress by Meta is my favourite WfH dress because it's so comfy! I have also been informed that the other cut is ALSO mega comfy! I called this dress 'Princess Wardrobe' but apparently it's called 'Lace Up Doll'... does it have multiple names??? Once again, our wardrobes have little in common (it is now common fact that not many people own the things that I do ^^') we tried to pull together similar elements including a short sleeved blouse with peter pan collar, lace legs and out hair in buns! Comfy Coords - Lockdown Edition

Going to meets is my main source of human interaction outside of work and besides the occasions where Eden and Persie come round and have dinner with me, it’s the only socailising I do so the current situation has left me feeling a little… lost? I feel like my frilly weekends are quite a big part of my life so having them removed feels strange. However, I am going to do my best to not abandon my frills for the duration of this lockdown just because I’m not going to a meet! We’ve tried to make virtual meets a thing and since I’m working from home, I’m trying to keep up with what I like to call ‘WfH: Frilly Edition’ but you can call it whatever you want! Since most of the time will be spent sitting and poking around my flat, comfort is key so here I wanted to share some of my comfy looks so far! ZJ Story 2020 Preview Tea Party

I first became aware of this preview tea party when the super gorgeous YamiHoshi posted snippets on their Instagram story and then I saw more photos from Chinese Lolita Updates  which excited me so I wanted to share my pick of pics (you can see them all if you follow the link to Chinese Lolita Updates' post) and my thoughts on them and hopefully you'll enjoy them! Ooo! This is SO aesthetically pleasing! Well! That's the first peeks of the venue and styling of the tea party. There's not an excess of pictures that I've come across but these are more than enough to sell it to me. Just that first picture and I am there!
