So cute I can't Bear it!

Welcome to my second afternoon tea from last week, this time for a beary cute meet!

So the venue for today's meet is Stonegate's Original Teddy Bear Shop! I have passed this shop many a time for absolutely years and somehow never realised that they did afternoon tea (maybe because it's usually mega touristy down the Shambles, I never noticed the board?) so I was V excited to try it!

This is also Arthur's (thank you for the name suggestion Natalie, I think it suits him!) first outing since I got him at Ocean Park HK last November! I think he enjoyed the cute decor in the tearoom as much as we did!

Natalie made us all goodie bags - how pawsitively cute!

Look at the cute bear goodies! I love how on theme these goodie bags are, Natalie's put so much thought into them!
We later played a game where we had to describe the bear (the little picture) for everyone else to guess. I did not know who my bear was but we matched in our nautical looks! And as expected of me, I know my bears just as well as I know my print names... yeah...

Before we get onto the tea, let's talk about the TEA! I got Earl Grey and I love that they brought little hourglasses so we knew when our tea was perfectly brewed! I also really appreciate the tea sets, the story that comes with the Willow Pattern is one of my favourites.

In a nutshell, it's story about a pair of lovers who eloped because they couldn't be together due to social class differences. After an unfortunate death (it varies from version to version) the Gods are touched by their love and immortalise them as a pair of doves. I am a sucker for sad love stories.

Now onto the tea!
There's not as much on it as the tea I had on Wednesday but the portions here are generally bigger and the open sandwiches make for a very aesthetically pleasing photo!
In a strange turn of events, for what is possibly the first time ever, I wasn't able to finish my afternoon tea (I know right?!) so I took the cake and brownie home for later.
Overall, a very yummy experience!

Chocolate orange brownie and lemon drizzle cake - both a solid 10/10 would eat again!
The butter wrapped as a sweet was V cute and the scone was surprising! I think it was currents and lemon zest and it was great!
I'm generally not a fan of brown bread but this was really nice and look at how aesthetic this looks!

Time for pin the bow on Peely Bear! (Usakumya? Help?)
We need to give Peely Bear a neck bow!
We used a maxipad headdress as a blindfold!
Me trying - I have attached a shoe clip!
(Thank you for this clip Rosy! And if this is what I sound like in real life, I am so sorry ^^')
Peely Bear ended up with some head bows, arm bows, shoe bows and even a modesty bow!

My origami bear! I folded things wrong on multiple occasions...

And finally, there was a wee competition for best coord won by Lucy in her mega cute, handmade and on theme Rilakkuma outfit!

Everyone wanted pictures with this cute bear and so did we! Thank you for taking this mega cute picture of me and my son Paulina!

He made a friend!
On our way out, we stopped to look at the bears and stuffed animals in the shops and there were lots of cuteness! These guys really stood out to me today!

And a cute photo outside the shop before moving onto the Museum Gardens!

Casually throwing ourselves into a cute pic of the twins fighting over a bear friend!
Accidental maxipad squad!

Are you even in a Yorkshire Comm if you don't take at east one silly group photo?

I had a fantastic day at Teddy Bear Meet! I learnt about some bears discovered a Viking shop called Asgard and even a bar called Valhalla (someone out there knows I've been binge watching the Thor movies...)!

Behold! Lolitas on the throne of Asgard!

The food was great and the company even better! Thank you for such a lovely meet Natalie!

Fun fact! I built this outfit around my shark bag and these boots! A plush bag is kind of a teddy, right?
